To commemorate 25 years of the HUMMER nameplate, GMC is unveiling the HUMMER EV ICON | 25 — a limited-run edition born from a legacy of bold design, cultural impact and unmistakable presence. Inspired by the attitude that defined HUMMER’s rise and reimagined for today, the 2027 GMC HUMMER EV ICON | 25 translates that legacy into a modern all-electric expression for the next generation.

Reimagining an icon for an all-electric future

The GMC HUMMER EV ICON | 25’s exterior color, “ICON,” takes inspiration from HUMMER H2’s recognizable yellow paint, reinterpreted in a modern expression for today. A new Jet Black interior and a black front approach shield sharpen the GMC HUMMER EV ICON | 25’s bold, purpose-built stance.

Serialized badging on the instrument panel distinguishes each vehicle as one of a limited-production run, while unique infotainment graphics in the drive mode section nod to HUMMER heritage models. Each GMC HUMMER EV ICON | 25 will also include an exclusive keepsake, celebrating 25 years of HUMMER and the exclusivity of this limited-edition vehicle.

The GMC HUMMER EV ICON | 25 will be available on 2X and 3X trims of the Pickup and SUV.

A red-carpet-worthy debut

The GMC HUMMER EV ICON | 25 will make its public debut at the 2026 ESPYS in New York City. Produced by ESPN, Full Day Productions and Fanatics Studios, the annual ceremony honoring figures from sports and entertainment will be held Wednesday, July 15 at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. The debut coincides with GMC's return as Official Vehicle Sponsor of the 2026 ESPYS. The ESPYS raise awareness and funds for the V Foundation for Cancer Research, founded by ESPN and the late basketball coach Jim Valvano at the first ESPYS in 1993.

“Twenty-five years ago, HUMMER first captured attention and established itself as an immediate icon. Today, HUMMER remains instantly recognizable as an all-electric supertruck that continues to turn heads,” said Michael MacPhee, Global Vice President, Buick and GMC. “The GMC HUMMER EV | ICON 25 is our way of recognizing that legacy and its debut at the 2026 ESPYs places it among athletes, celebrities and icons whose influence has also stood the test of time.”
